Archery String Silencers

What's the best brand/type of bow string silencer?

I'm just getting into archery and I don't know much about bows, but I want to cut down on the noise....so what do you recommend?

What kind of bow do you have? If it's a recurve or longbow you may want to consider using muskrat, otter, beaver or buffalo fur for silencers. Or you could use llama wool or musk ox wool all work well and look neat on a traditional bow.

If your shooting a compound bow you should look into the cat whiskers for string silencers they are light weight rubber silencers and are water proof, a plus for your bow. You will also want to consider using a stabilizer that has fluid in it or is all rubber, this helps cut done on noise. Also put mole skin on anything you add on to your bow like your quiver, put the mole skin on the parts that touch your bow.
